Hummingbird nectar is easy to make at home.
Nectar
- Mix 1 part plain white sugar with 4 parts water
- Boiling the water helps the sugar dissolve; let it cool
- No red dye, honey or artificial sweeteners
- Change nectar every few days, and every day or two in hot weather
- Clean the feeder each time you refill
