Hi there,
This month's way to help: clean feeders
Wet seed and dirty feeders can spread disease between birds. Every couple of weeks, empty your feeders, scrub them in hot soapy water or a dilute bleach solution, rinse well and let them dry fully before refilling. Rake up the old hulls underneath too.

A bird to look for
The downy woodpecker: small, black and white, and often on suet feeders. Males have a small red patch on the back of the head.
Reader question
"Birds keep hitting my big window. What can I do?" One sticker isn't enough. Add markers across the outside of the glass, about 2 inches apart horizontally and 4 inches vertically. See Prevent window collisions.
Happy watching,
